BEACHLALLI
Beachlalli is found widely along the shores of Iceland, though not everywhere. He is most common in Breiðafjörður and Westfjords but it spreads all the Whalefjord coast and even further south. Beachlalli is not mentioned in many folklore, but is first mentioned in the 19 century. Then it was a 13 year old boy who saw him when he went to the beach in Breiðafirði. His description of Beachlalli sounds like this:
,, It was the size as a medium-sized dog, with small feet and a tail like a sheep. He wasn't able to distinguish whether Beachlalli had ears or little horns. That was referred to there would be a Beachlalli ... "

,,It was black or very dark, furry, short with no tail; saying that she was box-shaped. The neck was very short, small head and round. Down the furr were four hairy legs. When he moved he first moved the front legs, like it was galloping."– A man from Búlandshöfða in Eyrasveit on Snæfellsnesi, the year 1934
Both of these descriptions fit well with the stories that others tell. Some sources claimed that the skin of Beachlalli is covered with shells and thats why you can hear clicking when he walks. That's how he got called these names: Shelllabbi and Shelllalli. Beachlalli has also several other names such as: Beachlabbi, Rauðkálfur, Sæúlfur, Fjörudýr and Lalli.
